The Animated Book Company

Who they are: The Animated Book Company are based in Brighton, East Sussex. They developed a brand new interactive print product called BookFlipz: a souvenir book, photo album and even a movie – all in one.bookflipz2

What I did: I wrote a 500-word advertorial article for a trade magazine extolling the virtues of this new and unique product. The copy had to match the playful yet informative tone used in the product itself.

Testimonial: “Well done! Your article emulated the product’s copy perfectly, and I like it so much that I routinely email it to interested parties as a quick and attractive explanation of our product. Further copywriting? You'll be my first choice!” Jeremy Thomas, The Animated Book Company

Latest Homes & Latest 7

Who they are: A weekly editorial, arts and property listings magazine available across Sussex and the south of England, with a readership of 100,000 per week.

What I did: A weekly column for Latest Homes magazine called 'Brighton Faces' and subsequently 'Sussex Faces'. Over the course of 85 issues, I selected and interviewed interesting and inspiring local residents, including: fish-smokers, restaurateurs, artists, craftsmen, stained glass makers, pensioners, children, railwaymen and the occasional inanimate object. I also wrote pieces of editorial for the sister magazine, Latest 7.

"We needed Matt to align our messaging across a varied mix of complex product communications, which he achieved swiftly and successfully. He really helped re-shape and simplify the copy, and we found him great to work with."
